Ship Isaac Bell

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, John Johnstone, Master of the Ship Isaac Bell do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Isaac Bell at New York* from which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. No deaths were recorded on this voyage and all passengers occupied Upper between Decks, and these columns have been omitted.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.

"New York" was cited in the testimonial as the Port of Departure, this is probably
 a recording error as "London" was subsequently cited in the testimonial as the
 Port of Departure.

 6  6th and 7th letters of surname illegible because of overwriting and bleeding 
    of ink.
 7  Umlaut over letter 'u'.
10  5th and 6th letters of surname illegible because of handwriting and bleeding
    of ink.
15  First number of Age illegible because of smearing under adhesive tape repair.
