I, Ira Bursley, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly testify that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Hottinger whereof I am Master, from Liverpool.

Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder. These passengers were numbered by the transcriber, not on original film. 76 & 78 - Occupation could be type founder 239 - Last name indeciferable. The first letter could be an R but only the top half is visible. The last letter appears to be a "k" and there are possibly 3 letters inbetween 261 - Last name very dark in parts. Name could be Bowenslager, however, there is room enough for 2 letters between the "n" and "l" and also between "l" and "g". 358 - First four or five letters of first name unreadable 369 - Middle initial is unreadable. Adam H. Miller, his wife Catherine and their sons Adam and Eberhard. Adam Heinrich M�ller (which is the German spelling of the name) was born Sep 10, 1812 in Astrup, parish of Schledehausen, kingdom of Hanover. He married Catherine Engel Probst Sep 29, 1838 in Schledehausen. She was born Apr. 6, 1815 in Darum, parish of Belm. Their son (Johann ) Adam was born Jul 27, 1843, Eberhard (Heinrich) was born Feb 21, 1845. The family lived on a farm in Astrup before they emigrated. They got the permission to emigrate in 1846. I'm German and I do not know where they settled in the USA. Catharine Engel Probst Miller is the only sibling of my ancestors who emigrated and of whom I haven't found a track in the USA until know.
