Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the
transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information in
the Transcriber's Notes below.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to
quality of the original document.
^ The use of a ^ indicates that the letter/letters following are superscripted.
The transcription preserves the original spelling.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual
words indicated.
The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.
In the notations made to the manifest, there is reference to Cabin psgrs;
however, they were not identified as such on the manifest.
The manifest scribe's count of passengers was in error; each page carried a
notation as to the number of psgrs listed on the page - frequently this number
was incorrect.
Various notations at end of manifest were written by the hand of some one other
than the manifest scribe. At the far right end of the manifest there is a
mathematical notation, mostly illegible.
401 Surname heavily overwritten, could be Carter or Caster.
414 Most letters of surname not clear, could be Brennan.
450 2nd number of Age overwritten, not clear, could be 22y or 29y.
483 Ending letters of surname not clear enough to decipher, none of the
letters extend above or below mid-line.
485 'x' written after surname.
491 Last letter(s) of surname not clear, could be Cardam or Cardarn.
494 First number of Age not clear, could be 20y or 30y.
524 Sex originally entered as Female.
546 There was no additional notation that the Infant was under 12 mos. of age.
563 Letters in superscription of first name illegible.
567 Psgr info illegible as most of the writing was off the bottom of the
microfilm,
only enough visible to determine that there was a psgr record.
571 First name overwritten, illegible, appears to be only 2 letters for an
abbreviation, 2nd letter is 'm' or 'n'.
580-581 Psgr information scratched out, 3rd letter of surname illegible, could
be None
or Nore.
626 Psgr info off the bottom of the microfilm, Age not available.
639 Center letters of surname not clear, could be Cherochan.
641 4th letter of surname 'r' or 'v', next illegible letter extends above
mid-line, could be Flavahin.
647 Surname overwritten, blurred, illegible, could be Morris.
647-648 There were various notations added to the manifest between these two
passengers; these notations have been included at the end of this
manifest transcription.
657 First letter of surname illegible because of lower extension of the
letter 'g' on the line above.
