Correspondence 3/29/2005 passengers #74 & 74 Greaf/Graef and Scheidem Leonard Graef (27); farmer; Frautberg; listed as going to PA but settled in MD; ship Gustav 11/24/1848 from Bremen, Germany, arrival in Baltimore, MD. Elizabeth Scheidem (22); Wiessenbraun to PA; the rest same as above I believe these 2 must have met on board and according to records married in PA. They are my g-g-grandparents. lee.swiger@verizon.net , Correspondence added 10/17/2005, passenger 177, ????TZ, CATHARINA and passenger 178, MEISSEL Passenger 177 is, I believe, Catherine Gronholz. That is my great-great-grandmother's maiden name. Henry and Catherine Meissel and their infant son, Henry Jr., appear in the 1850 Census in the 15th Ward of Baltimore City. Henry last appears in the 1857 Baltimore City Directory. In the 1870s the three Meissel children, Henry, William and Mary are living with Catherine and Charles Weigand in Baltimore. I believe this Catherine is the children's mother, Catherine Gronholz. Les Meissel
