DISTRICT OF BALTIMORE -- PORT OF BALTIMORE
I, D. Muller*, Master of the Ship Goethe of Bremen do solemnly
sincerely and truly swear that the annexed List, subscribed with
my name, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a
just and true account or report of all the passengers who have
been taken on board the said ship at Bremen or any other foreign
Port, or at sea, and brought in the said vessel into any District
of the United States since her departure from the said Port of
Bremen.

Because of the way the original manuscript is damaged, my numbering for this
list may be off by one--if so, it occurs between passengers 19 and 24.
Though there is no explanation for it, some entries have a large "X" which
appears after the name--in some lists this indicates a death during the voyage.
Wurzburg is written with u Umlaut.
Wurtenberg is written with u Umlaut.
Captain Surname is spelled with u Umlaut so may be Mueller.
8-13 Surname has an umlauted "o" so may be Boettger. Also, No. 12 has a
large X written after her name--no explanation for this.
24-26 Place of origin looks something like Hammerles.
32 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may be Kuespert.
33 Surname has an umlauted "u" so may be Mueller.
43 Given name may be Victorine.
