DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, George B Cornish Master of the Ship Emerald Isle do solemnly, sincerely
and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered
by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full
and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said ship at Liverpool from
which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age,
the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied
by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of
which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest
truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the
names and ages of those who died.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words indicated.
The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.
Based on research of other voyages this vessel made, with the same Captain in command,
the transcriber believes this passenger list may be an incomplete manifest.
The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these
have been transcribed to 'ss'.
The order of the psgr list on page 2 of the microfilmed manifest has been modified for
ease in reading. The first name at the top of this page is the child #63; his family
(#60-62) was found at the bottom of the microfilmed manifest.
5 Name written in between psgr 4 and 6, first name could be Ja^s or Geo.
21 Occupation could be miswritten Compositor.
39-85 Space Occupied is recorded with a ditto mark, but there is no direct indication
what is being dittoed.
42 First letter(s) of first name not clear, could be Bessy.
47 First name appears to have been corrected, probably Johana.
49-52 Probably a family traveling together, surname for all could be Nexon or Nixon.
57 Ending of surname not clear because of overwriting, could be Mann.
59 First name could be miswritten Cornelius.
78 First name could be miswritten Julia.
97 3rd letter of surname not clear, could be Hamson or Hanison.
106 Last letter(s) of surname not clear, could be McDonnold or McDonnod.
108-148 Space Occupied is recorded with a ditto mark, but there is no direct indication
