I, A L Dyer, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Corinthian, whereof I am Master, from Havre. 198 The second name is in a fold and has small writing. I can only tell that the
missing letters are midline. Possibly Chre??? or Therese.
219 Etats Unis is the United States.
243 First name is Horg or Worg; probably an abbreviation.
253 The first name is clearly not Isaac.
261 The first name is Lemhardt or Semhardt.
272 First letter of surname doesn't match other capitals, possibly is H, F or T,
for Hunis, Funis or Tunis.
273 First number of age looks like a backward 3.
274 First number of age is possibly a 2 or 3.
279 First letter of surname is D or P, ending of letter falls right between where
each would normally be. Surname is Deter or Peter.
285 Age is in crease.
287 Surname is Schwad or Schweid; not clear.
