I Henry Haesloop Master of the Bremen Bark Bessel do solemnly sincerely and truly swear that according to the best of my knowledge and belief that the two passengers entered on my Manifest as being of the age of One Year are erroneous by so entered and are less than One Year of Age and ought to have been so entered.

Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the
transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information in
the Transcriber's Notes below.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to
quality of the original document.
The manifest scribe routinely used a Germanic lowercase 'f' as the first
letter of a proper name, these have not been transcribed to an uppercase 'F'.
The manifest scribe routinely used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid
in reading, these have been transcribed to ss.
The manifest scribe used the Germanic line over the letters 'm' or 'n' to
indicate duplication of the consonant; these have been transcribed to the
double consonant.
The manifest scribe routinely used ditto marks to indicate repetition of a
surname. The ditto marks have been replaced with the actual word/words.
There were no months of age listed for all passengers over 1 year old.
With the exception of passenger #160, no occupation was entered for female
passengers. The manifest scribe has drawn a line through each occurrence to
indicate no occupation listed by psgr.
With the exception of psgr. #223, no occupation was entered for male
children under the age of 15y.
Unless otherwise noted, all passengers traveled from the country of Germany.
The words, Germ. and Germany have been omitted.
Underneath the heading of the last column to the right, Died on the Voyage,
the heading Luggage has been handwritten.
There are many instances when the manifest scribe bracketed groups of people
together for the purpose of listing luggage. To aid in reading, the first
occurrence is marked with ( and the amount of the group's luggage. following
psgrs in the group are marked with (. For instance, psgrs. #4 through 7 are
identified as a group having a total of three cases.
It is not clear if the omission of luggage amount is an omission or an
indication that no luggage was brought aboard.
