DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, (Robert Leitch) Master of the (S. S. City of Baltimore) do solemnly,
sincerely and truly (swear) that the following List or Manifers, subscribed
by me and now delicered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District
of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the
passengers taken on board the said ( S. S. City of Baltimore) at (Liverpool) from which
port the said (S. S. City of Baltimore) has now arrived;
and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each
of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by
each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of
which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant;
and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have
died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those
who died.

32-37 "fs" is probably "ss" meaning surname is Cross.
43 The surname appears to be either Moprann or Mograum.
59 The lister has used an abbreviation for the ending, could be either David or Daniel

My great-great-grandmother, my great-grandmother (Catherine, b. 17 March 1854)) and her siblings
were on this ship: Ann Jory (aka Anne) age 40, E.Ann (aka Elizabeth Anne), Sarah, William, Mary and
Catherine (aka Katherine). They traveled from Cambourne, Cornwall, England and after arriving in America
they joined Capt. James George Jory in Ducktown Basin (TN). Capt. Jory had come to the US two years
before in connection with the area's copper mines. Catherine is my mother's father's mother. Click here

I believe there is an error in the way the last two children, Mary and Catherine are listed on this manifest.
They are listedas being in Lower Steerage, but Since they were very young (6 and 3) I
am sure they would have been with their mother and siblings in Main Steerage. My copy of the
manifest says their names were at the top of a new page and perhaps the wrong information was listed
