Transcriber's Notes:

The column, Date and Cause of Death, has been eliminated because there were no deaths on this
   voyage.
The column, Destination, has been eliminated from the transcription to save space. All
passengers are recorded as being destined for the United States of America.
The column, Transient, In Transit or Intending Protracted Sojourn, has been eliminated. It
was not used for most of the passengers, with the following exceptions.
*Passengers 116 through 128, In Transit.
   *Passengers 129 through 174, Transient
The last column on the right has no heading. The places listed may indicate where the
   passengers journeyed from.
Several pages of this manifest are so faint as to be virtually unreadable. Question marks
indicate letters or, in some cases, entire words that are unreadable due to the condition
of the manifest copy. Where possible, further information as to what these letters or words
might be is included in these notes.
In some instances where there is a transcriber's note indicating that a name or number "may
be" something, the information following may be little more than a guess based on portions
of letters that can be seen or that appear as little more than shadows.
Some passengers are bracketed together in the baggage column. This notation may
indicate that the baggage count listed in the entry of one of the bracketed passengers,
is the combined baggage of those passengers that are grouped together, or that these
   passengers are travelling together.
When more than one member of a family with the same surname is listed on this manifest,
the surname is almost always only written out for the first person in the group. All
individuals listed directly under that person show only ditto marks for a surname. Thus,
when the surname for the first family member is unreadable, there are no additional
instances of the name to look at. The one exception to this is when the family group
happens to continue onto the top of a second page and the list writer rewrites the surname.
The use of a ^ indicates that the following letter is a superscript.
With rare exception, only men are listed as tourists, therefore in instances where the sex
of the passenger cannot be read, and the calling is listed as tourist, it is likely the
   passenger is male.

  1, most of entry unreadable.
2, most of entry unreadable. Number in baggage column may be 3.
3,4 most of entry unreadable. Bracketed together in baggage column.

 13, most of entry unreadable.
14,15 most of entry unreadable. Bracketed together in baggage column.
16, most of entry unreadable. Age may be 23. Bracketed together in baggage
         column with passenger #17.
17, most of entry unreadable. Bracketed together in baggage column with
passenger #16. May be a number in baggage column, but cannot be certain.
 18, most of entry unreadable.
19,20 most of entry unreadable. Bracketed together in baggage column.
21,22,23,24 most of entries unreadable. A bracket groups these passengers
together in the baggage column. Ditto marks indicate that passengers #22,23,24 have
the same surname as passenger #21. Passenger #23's given name may be Eddie. Passenger
         #24's given name ends with a y or g.
 25, most of entry unreadable.
 26, most of entry unreadable.
 27, most of entry unreadable.
 28, most of entry unreadable.

 32, most of entry unreadable.
33,34,35,36 are bracketed together in the baggage column. The entries
for these passengers are, for the most part, unreadable. Dittos indicate that
passengers #34,35,36 have the same surname as passenger #33. Surname may be Koch,
         Kock, Roch, or Rock.
37,38 are bracketed together in the baggage column. Parts of these entries
are unreadable. There may be a ditto mark indicating passenger 38 has the same
         surname as passenger#37.
 39, most of entry unreadable.
40, most of entry unreadable. Surname may be Sch????berg or Sch????burg.
Passengers #40,41 are bracketed together in the baggage column. It should be noted
that, although the surname of passenger #39 appears to begin with the same letters as
this passenger, the surnames are not the same. The surname of passenger #40 is longer
by as many as four letters.
41, most of entry unreadable. No surname is visible for this passenger. There
