DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, E. Howes, Master of the SS San Francisco, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Steam Ship at Greytown, from which Port the said Steam Ship has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died. So help me God. (signed) E. Howes. Sworn to this Feb'y 15 1868, before me. (signed) ????????, D.C..
List or Manifest of ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Steam Ship San Francisco whereof E. Howes is Master, from Greytown, burthen 1149 10/100 tons.
Columns represent: given name and surname, age, sex, occupation, and the part of the vessel occupied during the voyage. Transcriber's Notes:

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should refer.

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
    definitely.

The transcribers numbered the passengers consecutively 1-130, even though they are
not numbered in the original manifest.

6 Surname is either "Forster" or "Foster".
14 There is damage to the manifest in the area of passenger's name rendering several
letters of the surname impossible to decipher, but name is possibly "Newton".
22 Surname is either "Becham" or "Berham".
26 Name of this passenger is recorded as "Mrs. Tecker", but she is likely the wife of
       passenger 25, with surname "Decker".
28 Surname is either "Wellken" or "Willken".
49 Surname appears to be either "Aunt", "Anut", "Anuts", "Aunts" or "Aunto".
51 Surname appears to be either "Papel" or "Pafall".
56 Surname is either "Penson", "Peisson" or "Peuson".
67 An ink blot masks the given name initial (it might be J) and the first 3 or 4
       letters of the surname.
70 There is damage to the manifest in the area of passenger's name rendering several
letters of the surname impossible to decipher, but name is possibly "Fautly".
84 Surname is either "Kaisly" or "Kanly".
92 Surname is possibly "Borse" or "Borre".
108 Surname is possibly "Speri", "Spen", "Spin", "Speir" or "Spier".
109 Surname is either "Halton" or "Hulton".
113 Surname is either "Fellch" or "Felch".
114 Surname is possibly "Kenan" or "Kerran".
