SS City of Richmond
I, Robert Leitch, Master of the SS City of Richmond do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the collector of Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the Passengers taken on Board the said SS City of Richmond at Liverpool & Queenstown from which port the said SS City of Richmond has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
in the transcriber's notes.
? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.
Since the passengers were all intending to settle in the United States, that column
has been omitted. Also all passengers on this page occupied the Cabin Steerage
section so that column has been omitted.
The recorder had numbered the Cabin Steerage passengers from 1 to 170. The formatter
has renumbered following the last number of the previous page to be consistent with
other manifests on the site. This prevents confusion when referring to Transcriber's
Notes.
The recorder of this manifest listed the surname for the head of the family only,
then used ditto marks for the remaining family members. The formatter has changed
all family members to include the surname.
The recorder also used dittos throughout for the Occupation, Country to which they
belonged, etc. The formatter has filled in those dittos for easier researching.
There were no births or deaths on this passage.

Parts of this transcript were very hard to read. The letters I and J look very much
alike, as well as the letters S and L, and F and T. If anyone looks at all like it
could be your ancestor, I urge you to take a look at the original copy.

701 - First name could be Julius. Last name looks like Lehrnsier
716 - Middle letter is smeared
