Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of
the manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should
refer.
The ship name was written with an acute accent above the first "e": Péreire.
The transcriber numbered the passengers consecutively 1-65, even though they
are not numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder of the manifest listed the Occupation of most of the passenger as
"Merchant", even wives and children obviously not employed as merchants.
* Although not explicitly mentioned in the Captain's sworn statement,
there is a possibility that this ship also made a call and boarded
passengers at Brest, France, on it's voyage from Le Havre to New York.
1 Given name appears to be either "Otto" or "Otho".
10 Although written as "Jackon", given name might possibly be "Jackson".
14 Surname appears to be either "d'Anbigne" or "d'Antigne".
16-17 Although written as "O'rreilly" and "Oreilly", surname is likely
"O'Reilly".
18 Surname is either "Anger" or "Auger".
19 It is possible that name is actually "Albert Ledne" rather than "Ledne
Albert".
22 Although written as "July", given name might actually be "Julie".
32 Although written as "Irlande", country to which this passenger belongs is
likely "Ireland".
35 Surname appears to be either "Capuis" or "Capius".
41 Surname is possibly "Mancam", "Mancani", "Mancane" or something similar.
47 Surname appears to be "Tiegnerdt", "Tiegnerot", "Piegnerot" or "Piegnerdt".
52 Surname is either "Gaillary" or "Guillary".
58 Surname is possibly "Delist", "Deliste" or "Delisk".
61 Given name appears to be either "Sosthene" or "Sosthine".
62 Surname is either "Amedie" or "Amedee" with an accent above the second "é".
