The use of a ? indicates a letter or letters illegible to the transcriber due to quality of original document. ^ Letters written in superscript are followed by ^. In the heading of the list New York was scratched out and "n Orleans" was written above it. 2 Name preceeded by "Her son," 5-6 There was a blank line containing a heavy horizontal line in the middle two columns between these entries 6 Below the word "Joiner" was written "occupation of the husband". 8,9,10,11 No last name was given. The list of initials were all linked with a }their daughters 6-12 Were linked with a } in the age column and only one entry was made for the other columns. 12 There was no last name. The entry was Fr^ Willm^ their son 15 "Their son" was written above A.H. Borcherdt in the name column. Age was given as 1 3/4 24 Place of Birth Column had Honwick Danemark. The o in Honwick had an umlaut or some other diacritical mark. 26 The o in Sorensen appears to have an umlaut 27 The o in Sorensen appears to have an umlaut 28 There was no last name. The entry was Wm^ their son 29 & 30 There were no last names. The pair of initials were linked with a }their daughters 31 Danemark was scratched through and Altona written above it 35 The first u in Luggum had an umlaut
