Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should refer.

27 Added to the column in which is recorded the country in which they intend to
become inhabitants are the words "Ship Middlesex 1855". This likely indicates
the ship and year in which this passenger first entered the United States.
