Ship N. B. Palmer
I, Joseph Steele Jr, Master of the N.B. Palmer, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Ship at Amoy, China, from which Port the said Ship has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. Since no one died during the voyage, this column is omitted in this transcription.

9 Middle name appears to be either "Chun", "Chum" or "Chunn".
11 Although written as "Laon", first name might possibly be "Loan".
12 Although written as "Loan", first name might possibly be "Laon".
13 Only the single name "Chune" is recorded. It might be the surname, or it might
be the first name and the surname is meant to be the same as the passenger above,
"Chu".
15 Surname appears to be either "Jun" or "Jin".
19 Only the single name, either "Tippo" or "Tiffo", is recorded. It might be the
surname, or it might be the first name and the surname is meant to be the same as
the passenger above, "Fok".
