DISTRICT OF BALTIMORE - PORT OF BALTIMORE
I, Jacob Higgins do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the within list, subscribed with my name, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account or report of all passenger, who have been taken on board the Ship Napier at Liverpool or at any other foreign port, or at sea, and brought in said Ship into any district of the United States, since the departure from said port of (blank).
Sworn the 23rd June, 1847, before Chas Watson, Deputy of Collections for Balti. city.

The passenger names are transcribed as they are actually written by the original 
recorder. Catharine as Cathrin; Bridget as Briget; Michael as Michel; Patrick as Patt; 
Margaret as Margret; Martha as Marth.    

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber; 
  or it is used to call your attention to additional input in the transcriber's notes. 

^ Indicates an abbreviated name or missing letters in a name such as; Tho^s for Thomas, 
  Edw^d for Edward, Bern^d for Bernard, Mich^l for Michael, Nich^s for Nicholas.

* These columns were omitted due to the following:
    Occupation for passengers over age 14 are farmers.
    United States will be the destination for all passengers.

  7, 20  These could be the same family, probably Ayres

 28  First name probably meant to be Dorothea
 54  Names could be Margaret Ferguson
 56, 57, 102, 103, 104, 105  Last name could be Reilly or Reilley

 85  Last name was written over and could be McPherson
 95  First name is written Allen, but listed as female
 98, 99, 100, 101  Captain notes these four children 'are diseased'
