Brig John G Hudgins
I A F Turley* do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all Passengers which were on board the Brig John G Hudgins at the time of her sailing from the port of Halifax or have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present, and have been during the voyage, master of said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true.*

* The use of asterisk (*) indicates that additional information is
available in these Transcriber Notes (below).
* the original recorder did NOT number the passengers, but the transcriber
added them for greater clarity and uniformity with other ships online.
* The original recorder used ditto marks("), but all entries were written out
completely for greater clarity of his intentions.
* All capitalization (or lack thereof) was that of the original recorder.
* The original recorder did not form his letters the same way each time,
but quite obviously we are dealing with the same family, so a uniform
spelling was used.
Sworn Statement:
- The name of Darl P Beadling was crossed out and A F Turley written above it.
- the usual SO HELP ME GOD at the end was NOT on the original.
- Tenth was crossed out and Eleventh written above it. Possibly there was
a delay for the change in masters, even if this contradicts that to
which he swore
- The usual word swear was left off the original.
