Ship John Bright
I, John R Dewar, Master of the Ship John Bright, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New-York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship John Bright at Liverpool from which port Ship John Bright has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

No compartment listed on the manifest for the area occupied on the ship.
173 - occupation is unreadable except it has a tall first letter and possibly
6 smaller letters. The country which he is from is also very difficult
to determine just what it means. It is listed as apparantly Us with a
lot of writing that has been faded after that and then the country he
went to as United States and my guestion is why is the country written
different if he was from the USA. I have transcribed the following people
as from Grt Britain untill such time as the country they came from is
plainer.
173 to 201 - are impossible to know for positive where they are from so I have
left the from out.
262 - under place coming from (la?s. J. J. Boyd/58) Next line after is not
numbered as such. I have numbered it 28. It lists this passenger as being
born at sea on December 23rd. The passenger directly above is plainly
listed as 50. So it is difficult to tell if this is her child or some
one elses.
307 - is listed as being from "City of Limerick"sofls/65
