SS Iowa
I, Ernest W. Owens, master of the Iowa B do solemnly, sincerely, and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Port of Boston, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Liverpool from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or space occupied, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the "Passenger Act of 1882"; also a true statement, so far as it can be determined, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God. (signed) E.W. Owens.
Sworn to this 30th Augt 1890 before me (signed) J. L. Swift
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the S.S. Iowa whereof Ernest W. Owens is master, from Liverpool burthen 4328 tons.
Columns represent: Names, Age, Sex, Calling, Native Country, Intended Destination or Location. There were no entries for pieces of baggage, and all passengers were listed in Steerage Aft., so those columns have been omitted. An asterisk * following the passenger number indicates there is additional information in the Transcriber's Notes below.

Transcriber's Notes:
? Question Marks indicate letters that were indecipherable because of
the quality of the original document or the handwriting of the original
recorder. In such cases the number of questions marks indicates, roughly,
the length of the missing names.
Spellings are those of the original recorder, e.g. Micheal for Michael.
An A in the age column presumably stands for Adult.
18 Initial letter of surname may be either T or J.
19 Surname appears to be either Beliniwitz or Belunwitz.
20 Given name appears to be either Hode or Hose.
35 Surname has 5 even points between the S and the -kly --e.g. Sinnkly or Sumkly.
82 Given name is unreadable. First two letters are possibly "Ka", "Ra" or "Ha",
while the final letter may be t, l or h.
168 Given name is unreadable, but the general appearance suggests James or Louis
as possibilities.
188 Surname is possibly Landy or Lovely.
