  Transcriber's Notes:

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should refer.

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.

The transcribers numbered the passengers consecutively 1-75, even though they are
not numbered in the original manifest.

The recorder of the manifest abbreviated most given names by writing only the first
few letters of the name. Other times he abbreviated given names by writing the first
few letters of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as
superscripted. In these cases, the transcribers use the symbol (^) to indicate that
the following letter is superscripted, i.e., Ja^s for James, Tho^s for Thomas, etc.

The recorder of the manifest often abbreviated passengers' Occupations, such as
"Mercht" for "Merchant", "Lab" for "Labourer" or "Mech" for "Mechanic".

4-9 Surname is either "Dalziell" or "Dalzull".
14 Surname is either "Hauley" or "Hanley".
21 Although written as "Wiloon", surname might actually be "Wilson".
22 Although clearly written as "Gallacher", surname might actually be "Gallagher".
24 Surname appears to be either "Shiden" or "Sluden".
29 Last letter of surname is masked by being overwritten by extension of letters of the
surname below making deciphering difficult, but surname is possibly "Kiloe", "Kiloo",
      "Keloe" or "Kelso".
41 Third letter of surname is overwritten by extension of a letter in the surname below
rendering it difficult to decipher with certainty, but surname is possibly "Camolan",
      "Carnolan", "Carolan" or "Cawolan".
49 Fifth letter of surname is overwritten by extension of a letter in the surname below
rendering it difficult to decipher with certainty, but surname is possibly "McParttan",
      "McPartton", or something similar.
61 Although having a masculine given name, the Sex of this passenger is clearly recorded
a female. The transcriber's opinion is that either the Sex was incorrectly recorded or
the given name is actually "Ellen" incorrectly recorded as "Allen".
73 Surname is possibly "Kartin", "Karten", "Hartin" or "Harten".
