The departure port was not mentioned on the manifest, but the transcriber
believes it was probably Hamburg, Germany.
Since all passengers indicated that they want to become inhabitants in the
United States this coloumn was omitted.
Only a few passengers died, this coloumn was omitted, the death is noted in
the transcriber's notes.
Passengers were not numbered on the manifest, this was done by the transcriber
for ease of reading.
The first name Elisabeth is always abbreviated to Elisab.
11: the e in the last name has is é.
16: the 2nd letter of the last name could be a or o, therefore the last name
could be Maurer.
23 – 25: the third letter of the last name could be o or a, the last name could be
Leaman.
24: the first number of the age looks like a 6 but it's very hard to read.
25: the age was written as 1/2.
34: Died on the voyage.
68: the age is given as 1/2. This child died on the voyage.
75: the a in the first name is superscripted, it is probably Johanna.
81 & 82: the first name could possibly be Margaret.
84 & 123: the first name could possibly be Margaret.
82: the 4th letter in the last name could be u or e and i, although there is
no dot on the i therefore it could be Lamuh or Lameih.
83: the e in the first name is superscripted, the first name is probably Christine.
101 & 104: the first name is spelled Hélène.
111 & 112: the first name is probably Margaret.
122: the first name is probably Margaret.
132: the first name is spelled Salomé.
145: the age was given as 1/4.
154: the 5th letter in the last name is not very clear, it could be m or nr, in
which case the last name would be Steinresler.
160: the age is given as 3/4.
Joachim Family
52, 53, 108, 109: a friend of the transcriber's is looking for his descendants.
The family name is now Yoakum but it is believed that the name used to
be Joachim and the family originally came from a town called Joachimsthal,
which is located north of Berlin, Germany. The Yoakum family believes
that their descandants came to the US about 1850. The first known family
member is Joseph Charles Yokum, born 1892 in New Orleans, La, married
Lorette Hubertz. Please contact the transcriber or Joseph Yoakum.
