Transcriber's Notes:

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
   in the transcriber's notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

^ Indicates letters are omitted and the following letter is superscripted.

The departure port was not mentioned on the manifest, but the transcriber
believes it was probably Hamburg, Germany.

Since all passengers indicated that they want to become inhabitants in the
United States this coloumn was omitted.

Only a few passengers died, this coloumn was omitted, the death is noted in
the transcriber's notes.

Passengers were not numbered on the manifest, this was done by the transcriber
for ease of reading.

Joachim Family
52, 53, 108, 109: a friend of the transcriber's is looking for his descendants.
The family name is now Yoakum but it is believed that the name used to
be Joachim and the family originally came from a town called Joachimsthal,
which is located north of Berlin, Germany. The Yoakum family believes
that their descandants came to the US about 1850. The first known family
member is Joseph Charles Yokum, born 1892 in New Orleans, La, married
Lorette Hubertz. Please contact the transcriber or Joseph Yoakum.
