I, Archibald Thomson, Master of the SS Denmark, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Steam Ship at Liverpool, from which Port the said Steam Ship has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died. List or Manifest of ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the SS Denmark whereof Archibald Thomson is Master, from L'pool, burthen 2120 tons.
Columns represent: given name and surname, age, sex, occupation, the country to which they severally belong, and the part of the vessel occupied during the voyage. All the passengers intend to become inhabitants of the "United States", and since no one died during the voyage, these two columns are omitted in this transcription.

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcribers numbered the passengers consecutively 1-255, even though they are
not numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviated a passenger's Occupation, such as
"Lab" for "Laborer" or "Mech" for "Mechanic".
1 Surname clearly begins "Sa" followed by several letters too poorly formed to
decipher or even determine the number of letters, but surname appears to end
with "ager". None of the undeciphered letters extends above or below the line.
10 There is damage to the manifest in the area of passenger's surname resulting in
only a few letters being decipherable.
11 Age is difficult to decipher with certainty, but is possibly 26 or 36.
12 There is damage to the manifest in the area of passenger's name and sex
resulting in only a few letters being decipherable.

21 Given name is not clearly written, but is possibly "Marie".
32 Given name is not clearly written, but is possibly "Herm" or "Henr".

50 Surname appears to be either "Couton" or "Conton".

69 Although likely a recording error, the passenger's Sex is clearly recorded as
"Female".
82 Surname is possibly "Austin", "Arstin" "Authur" or "Arsten".
83 Letters of surname are small, poorly formed and difficult to decipher with
certainty, but surname is possibly "Riebenstein", "Rubenstein, or something
similar.
93 Although recorded as "Nielson Luke", name might actually be "Luke Nielson".
94 Surname is not clearly written, but is possibly "Towison" or "Townsend".
98-99 Surname is possibly "Banet" or "Bamt".
101 Surname is possibly "Quincy" or "Quinn".
115-116 Surname appears to be either "Cearns" or "Carns".

occurs at he bottom of manifest page and similar initials are at the bottom of

149 Although written as "M Carthy", surname is likely "McCarthy".
150 Surname appears to be either "Guale" or "Guald".
156 Surname appears to be either "Hanninghan" or "Hanninglan".
165 Surname is possibly "Lea", "Lee" or "Leo".
167 Surname appears to be either "Copen" or "Copens".
171 Second letter of surname can't be deciphered, but it is small, not extending
above the other letters or below the line.
173 Surname appears to be either "Runey" or "Rumy".
174 Surname is possibly "Cosine", "Corvin" or "Cowin".
187 Surname is possibly "Grace", "Gerard" or "Geracy".

transcription of the surname uncertain. Surname is possibly "Couples".

206 Age is difficult to decipher with certainty, but is possibly 21 or 26.
209-211 Surname appears to be written as "Williaman", but is possibly "Williamson".
217 Surname is possibly "Lewis", Levine" or "Lewin".
236 Surname appears to be either "Dailey" or "Dailly".
