Brig Creole
I, George Benjamin do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers which were on board the Brig Creole at the time of her sailing from the port of Rio de Janeiro or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present, and have been during the voyage, master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true.
Sworn before me, this 5th day of August 1836

Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder. 3 The name looks like Hanlangle, Hanlangde, Hanlande. The first ? looks like a 'g'. There is a down stroke below the line with a large loop on it. Then it looks like there could be a 'de' or an 'le' following it. I am comparing the 'de' with the 'de' in the ship's owner's name 'Lombarde', and they look alike. However, if it is a 'd', it is almost on top of the 'g', and could be replacing it. Hanlande is a Swedish surname and is the only match I could find for surnames of any type.
