I, JC Hunter, Master of the U_______ do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of San Francisco, is a full and perfect list of all Chinese passengers taken on board the said vessel at Port Townsend from which port said vessel has now arrived, and they have not landed at any foreign port or place during the voyage, and of all such passengers now on board said vessel, and that on said List is truly designated the names and other particulars, as shown by their respective certificates.So help me God. 1 Ah Fang 31 yr Farmer Whidby Island Transcriber's Notes: The right half of the list is missing. Accordingly the heading above is only half there. The remainder is recorded here based on many other lists on the film. The first two paragraphs above are printed as part of the form for this list. The next paragraph is a stamp placed on the body of the page and then completed. The pages on this film are not numbered so finding a particular ship can be difficult. However, there appears to be a system of numbering the manifests. The number for this manifest evidently was on the missing part of the page. However it appears on the same film page as manifest 9422-1. The cover sheet for this list has a note. I certify that I have this day landed the within named Chinese passenger (signature) WW Presbury, Chinese Inspector Mar 7, 1894 The following columns are missing from the page Complexion=Yellow Color of Eyes=Dark If accredited oficers of Chinese Government, state facts=no entries No of Ceritficate had no entry.
