Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
For most of the passengers, the recorder lists the initial of their given name,
but for some he abbreviates their given name by writing the first few letters of
the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as
superscripted. In these cases, the transcribers use the symbol (^) to indicate that
the following letter was superscripted, i.e., "Tho^s" for Thomas, "Ja^s" for James,
"W^m for William, etc.
4 Surname appears to be written as "Grear", but might possibly be "Grace".
6 First initial of given name is not decipherable with certainty, but might
possibly be "T" or "J".
19 Surname is either "de Garmendia" or "de Garmendra".
