RMS Asia
I, EG Lott Master of the RM Asia do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Steamship "Asia" at Liverpool via Queenstown from which port said Steamship Asia has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the county to which each belonged and also the county of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The Country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, died on the voyage, Part of the vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage.

Transcriber's Notes:

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.
^ Indicates the word may be abbreviated or that superscript was used for the
subsequent letter or letters.
The Miss is written with the M then s and and f the old way of writing two
sess together.
Merhcant is spelled this way through out the entire manifest it is not the
misspelling of the transcriber.
18 Some may read this as Moel or Nocl
19 This would probably be Fredrick
25 Sam^l would probably be Samuel
41 The occupation would be Britich Army
44 This first part of the age is not readable it is blacked out.
44 It is hard to believe that a lady would be a merchant but that is what they
had dittoed it as.
52 The ^ would mean Edward or Edwin
