Transcriber's Notes: A ? indicates letter or letters that could not be read because of the quality of the document or the handwriting of the original lister. Every attempt is made to list possibilities when feasible. The numbering system is that of the transcriber and not of the original lister. The form allows for 30 passengers per page, but at times the original lister did not completely fill the page. When possible the transcriber has listed 30 passengers per page. Parentheses are used by the transcriber to clarify or add additional informa- tion. They were not placed by the original lister. The lister frequently abbreviated son-in-law as "sil" and brother-in-law as "bil"; transcriber spelled these completely for ease in understanding. The lister abbreviated "male" as "m" and "female" as "f"; transcriber spelled these completely for ease in reading. Lister also abbreviated "married" as "m" and "single" as "s"; again, these were spelled completely by transcriber. Occasionally there were numbers written in above the column, particularly the occupation column. These refer to the naturalization process. See jewishgen.org for an explanation. 372-375 There is a discrepancy between their final destination and the person going to. 377 The surname is different on the Special Inquiry List-Federbush. Both are recorded as seen. 378 and 379. The surname on the Special Inquiry List is different: Fastiez. It is typed, but in looking at the written Manifest list, it clearly shows the name as Fostiez - therefore, both are recorded as seen 382 The passener's given name is spelled differently in the Special Inquiry List, the Detained Alien List and this Manifest - all are recorded as seen 394-397 The surname of the passengers is slightly different on the Detained Alien List. Also, the person going to, the brother's name is spelled differently * For pictures, newspaper articles, etc., on this voyage please go to Page 1 using the link at the bottom of this page.
