1 William Callender 38 male merchant U.S. U.S. *Collector's Office Charleston So. Carolina 30 June 1822 *(signed) J.R. P?????? Transcriber's Notes: * An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information in the transcriber's notes. ? The question mark indicates illegible letters or words on the original document. * The original Quarterly List had columns for Name of Vessel, Month and Year of Arrival, and Where from. These columns have been incorporated into title information. The ships have been transcribed individually. * The manifest did not list a country for the port of departure. Using the Getty Thesaurus of Geographic names there were five listings for Greenock, with the most likely being Inverclyde, Scotland. * None died on the voyage, therefore the column is omitted. * The Quarterly List of the 2nd Quarter of 1822 carried the Collector's Office statement following the last ship. The name of the signer may be J.R. Pringle.
