I thought I would give you more information about the Romill family listed as arriving
on this ship. The family first settled in Dodge County, Wisconsin and then most of
them moved on to Elysian, Le Sueur, Minnesota. Their name is spelled Roemhildt, although
it is mispelled most of the time.
The family shown consists of these family members: Heinrich Nicol Roemhildt, born 9 December 1796
and his wife Margarete Barbara Werlich, born 8 March 1799. Both were born in Bohlen, Schwarzburg,
Rudolstadt, Thuringia. I have information about the following 4 children:
Traugott, born 26 August 1824; Adelhardt Friedman, born 6 October 1826; Rosemunde, born 3 June 1833
and Berthold, born in February 1840. I am related through the son Traugott. For more information
on this family please feel free to email Kim Ashford
