I F C Bryan do solemnly sincerely and truly swear, that the within list submitted with my name, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account or report of all passengers who have been taken on board the ship Mississippi at Cork or at any other foreign ports or at sea, and brought in the same ship Mississippi into any district of the United States since the departure from said port of Cork. *  An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
   the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
   in the transcriber's notes.

?  Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
   condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

The entries in the last three columns appear to have been written 
in almost randomly, as the professions and place names appear next
to children and women.  Each entry has a squiggly line running from 
it to the next entry.  Entries for passengers 54 through 73 were 
the only ones marked with ditto marks (").

  2 surname Donovan was written in first, then crossed out
  3-7 surname could be Batters
 12 surname could be Toran
 25 age did not have either "years" or "months", but possibly a 
    ditto mark (")
 56 age could be 21
 60-61 surname could be Harley
 74 surname could be Rufes
 88 age is under an inkblot
 95 surname could be Greer
109 surname could be Heurney
129 age of 7 was written in, then crossed out
130 profession looks like two words, possibly starting with G or T;
    possibly Glove
140 profession looks like Garding or Gardeny
143-146 surname could be Prilfoyle or Puilfoyle or Prufoyle
148 age could be 28
157,159 surname could be Donaly
169, 171 surname could be Emight
180 age could be 20 or 22
181 given name could be Denis - it starts with a D and looks like the
    given names of 182 and 183; surname starts with two or three letters
    but name is covered with stain on paper
193 age could be 22 or 23
203 age of 6 years appears under the third column, but was crossed off and
    7 written in second column
210 surname could be Thanden
