List of passengers arrived from foreign ports, in the Port of New Orleans during the fourth quarter, 1857.
Vessel: Ida, arrived from Belize 7 October 1857.
Captain: Goodspeed.
This passenger listing contained no sworn statement. As the heading indicates, it's a quarterly report.
The passenger list contains eleven columns. They are headed as follows: 1,Date; 2,Vessel's Name; 3,Master's Name; 4,Where from; 5,Passenger's Name; 6,Age; 7,Sex; 8,Occupation; 9,Country in which they belong; 10, Country in which they intend to become inhabitants; 11,Died. Columns one through four have been deleted from this transcription because the information is stated above. Column eleven has also been deleted because it is void of notation.

     and then the last name. The rest were listed last name first.

Note of interest: Sardinia is an Italian island in the Mediterranean 100 miles
west of the Italian mainland.
