Transcriber's Notes:
* The use of a * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to
quality of original manifest.
* The Columns "Country of Birth" and Country Claiming Allegiance" have no
written entries so these columns have been omitted.
* The sworn statement could not be read due to the poor condition of the
original document.
* Notation made at the end of passenger listing is as follows: Norry Sheehy
age 50, John Courtney age 24, Patrick Hanrahan age 10mos and Mikl Carrol
age 10 mos, names are bracketed and died at sea is written to the side.
* Another notation at the end lists John McConlly age 25, T? McClellan age 22,
James McDonald age 23 and Patrick Gallagher age 12 with a bracket and
Limerick written in Last Legal Residence column. I do not have these names
on the list and they could be those that are unreadable elsewhere on the
manifest.
Passenger Notes:
# 2 - Due to area being blackened, the first name is mostly unreadable.
However, the first letter looks like it could be an M as there is a
loop at the top that is like the letter M in other names on the list.
Cannot make out the 2nd letter and the 3rd letter resembles an R in
other names. I think the name could be Mary.
# 65 - The first name is in an blackened area making the first letter
unreadable. It is a short name, 3 letters and could be Ann. Cannot make
out the occupation as that area is also black. Sex of passengers is not
given so cannot tell if male or female. Female passengers in this age
group are listed as either spinster or wife.
# 66 - The occupation of this passenger is unreadable due to black area on the
manifest.
# 76 - The first name of passenger unreadable due to a black area over the
name, although I cannot tell how many letters are in the name, it looks
like it is a short name. It is a female maybe a sister to Anthony Mangan
#75.
#101 - The first name column is covered by a large black area making the names
unreadable. The first letter has a loop which looks like the loop on a
capital M in other names. Next several letters (can't tell how many) are
entirely covered and the last two could be hl. Possible name, M??hl
maybe for Michl.
#102 - First name is covered by black area on manifest. I can make out the C
and possible o for the next in surname. Next letter is unreadable
although it looks like maybe a t (I can make out the line that crosses
a t but cannot tell exactly where in the name it is. The rest of the
letters are unreadable as is the occupation. Possible Co??t????.
#103 - First and last names and occupation are all unreadable due to black
area on the manifest copy.
#104 - Occupation is unreadable due to poor quality of manifest in that area.
#105 - Occupation is unreadable due to poor quality of manifest in that area.
#106 - Occupation is unreadable due to poor quality of manifest in that area.
#108 - First name and occupation are blacked out and unreadable due to
condition of manifest.
#109 - First name and occupation are blacked out and unreadable due to
condition of manifest.
#110 - First name and occupation are blacked out and unreadable due to
condition of manifest.
#111 - First name letters are blacked out, last 2 letters could be et, all
others unreadable as is the occupation due to the condition of manifest.
#112 - The first name of passenger is unreadable due to black area on the
manifest.
