Transcriber's Notes:
The manifest does not say definitely where the port of Embarkation was located.
There is what looks like either Westphal or, more likely according to this
transcriber's eye Westport. Westport is also most likely as many of the
passengers have Irish names, and there is a Westport in County Mayo, Ireland
which was known as a port of debarkation during the famine years of 1845-1849.
1 - Passengers 1 through 9 are joined with a bracket (in the age column) with
hand written phrase at the nose of the bracket that reads "Calbin
Bassengers" which may mean Cabin Passengers.
8 - Surname might be Conolly
9 - First and last letters of her surname are questionable. The first letter
may be a T or F followed by what looks like a capital C. The last letter
could be "ts" or "ty". The "H" is unlike any other "H" in the list. Could
be Flalert or Flabert.
10 - Surname could be Moise.
21 - The "h" in Cunningham has a cross bar making it look like a "t". The cross
bar could have been put there accidently or may mean that the letter is a
"t" and the name is than Cunningtam, or Cunningtrain.
25 - First name Myles is unusual for a female. Surname maybe Chindan.
44 - First letter of first name is difficult to interpret. Might be Dave.
49-52 - Surname might be Malone
56 - Surname is questionable. Maybe Grission.
57 - First name is inconsistent with sex.
60 - Surname maybe something else.
77 - First name is spelled And???. I assumed clerk meant to write Andrew.
90 - Surname is questionable. Could be Cane with an accent mark over the "n".
92 - First name maybe Dourk
94 - First namesame as in 92..maybe contraction for Dominick
97 - First name and surnames are questionable
103 - Surname is questionable-maybe Gerafhty
105 - First letter of first name may or may not be a "B". Maybe had been
overwritten with another letter.
