Transcriber's Notes:

The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to the
quality of the original document.

This passenger listing lists the passenger's Surname first then the Given
name or initial.

This passenger list listed the passenger's occupation only where noted, the
field was left blank for the other passengers.

3: Note the British spelling for Laborer (Labourer) is used throughout this
    passenger list.

13 & 14: It is noted that these poor children died on the voyage.
#13, Amelia on 5 November and #14, Wm on 8 November.

15: The Passenger's surname is Roy, Given name is Oliver.

16, 17 & 18: Their name is listed on the passenger list just as it appears above:
F and then several spaces followed by Hon. Clearly there was nothing written
in the space between the F & Hon whether the recorder was interrupted or just
why he left the blank space remains a mystery.

St. Brendan's Church, Birr, Kings County, Offaly, IRELAND, daughter of John Alexander

Peter did not emigrate when his other two brothers (William & Oliver) did.
He came over in 1857 by way of Liverpool to New Orleans, arriving on

to be 40 yrs. old on May 3, 1859 when the papers were submitted in Floyd Co.

listed on 1860 New Albany, Floyd Co., IN. census: Peter Smithwick, 40

their home: George age 1 yr., David Brown 26 & Sarah Brown 25 & Ellen

     Atlantic to America.

It is possible the passenger #15, Oliver Roy, is Oliver Foy, a nephew
to the above Smithwick's. He was the son of Mary Ann Smithwick & John Foy.
