Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk is used to call attention to additional
information in the Passenger Notes.
? A question mark is used to indicate letters or words
that are illegible.
* No deaths were recorded during this voyage.
* No births were recorded as such on the voyage.
However the following passengers were probably born
during the passage to passenger #94:
#196 Ge?g?in Klug age 1 month
#197 Gen?? Klug age 1 month
They are probably a set of twins.
* The country to which the passengers severally belong
was listed as Germany for all passengers. However it
is evident that beginning with about passenger #120
that the surnames are Irish.

Correspondence 02/12/03 passengers #68-72 Barthold/[Barthel]
My ggrandfather is W. (Wilhelm/William) "Barthold" Barthel/Bartelt/Bartel.
He was born in 1819 and came with his sister Charlotte and her family.
He married Johanna Voigt, daughter of Carl George Voigt and Dorothea Block in 1847.
Children are: (may be an uncomplete list) Wilhelmine Fredericka, Martin
(1854), Johanna (1856), William (1860) my grandfather, Augusta (1862),
Marie (1865) and Lousia (1870).
The father of Wilhelm/William, Friedrich/Frederick, Charlotte, and Caroline,
named Martin, came later on the Barque Kammonham Roy arriving 18
Aug. 1843 and the name is spelled Bartel, Passenger no. 15-17. Martin
ended up farming in Freistadt. Later Fredrich followed his brother
(Wilhelm/William) to a farm at 156 Green Bay Road, Cedarburg, WI.
Fredrich's children are:
lst wife; Carolina Wihelmine (Block?)
Martin (1844)
Maria Dorothea (1849)
Johanna
2nd wife m. in 1854 Bertha Radue
may be others but children listed in 1880 census are;
Lisa (1862)
Charlotte (1864)
Augusta (1865)
Mathilda (1867)
Elsie (1869)
Robert (1871)
Christian Fredrich (1874)
Amanda (1877)
Friedrich/Frederick and Wilhelm/William are buried in Zur Ruhe Cemetery,
Cedarburg, WI.
Note:
Another confusion is that both Frederick and William had sons named
Martin. Martin (son of Frederick born in 1844) had many children. My
information comes from Freistadt and the Lutheran Immigration (book),
records at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, and the 1880
Census. Mary Barthel
Correspondence 07/30/2003 passengers #15-19
The Buth family #15-19 are part of my ancestors.
One source indicates Michael died in Buffalo. In 1843, Johann Ernst
Friedrich bought 80 acres of land north of Freistadt, Washington county
(now is Ozaukee county), WI. His mother and sisters also settled in the
Freistadt area.

The National Archives microfilmed manifest for this ship is not a microfilm of the original manifest but rather a hand copy of the original list. The National Archives substituted a copy because the original was missing or was illegible. This may have introduced an additional source of transcription errors.
