I, M. Kulken do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Bk Geestemunde whereof I am Master, from Bremen. Correspondence 10/27/2003 passengers #176-181 Jacobs
Jacob H. Jacobs and wife (Elta Okken) b.Hanover, Germany, settled at
Peoria, Illinois for eight years; moved from there to Wyoming, Ill
until 1888 and then moved to Furnas Co. NE.  Died March 20, 1900 at Maple
Creek precinct, Furnas Co. NE.  Rudolph, son of Jacob and Elta, is my 
grandfather. Shirley Schaub

Correspondence 11/09/2003 passenger #12 Reulmann
Herman Bernard Reulmann, born 04 July 1835 Messingen, Hanover, Germany
arrived at the Port of New York on 14 June 1865 on the Bark Geestemunde.  He
had worked as a miller in Germany and on his arrival here, he worked his way
through Pennsylvania and Ohio, until 1871 when he had enough savings to
purchase a mill in Oldenburg, Franklin Co.IN.  He later owned a mill in
Laurel, Franklin Co.IN., which burned in 1886.  He then re-located to
Minster, Auglaize Co.,OH. where his eldest son was a physician.  Herman died
there 13 Jan. 1906.  His first wife was Augusta Meuller, who died in 1875 in
Indiana. By her he had sons: Rudolph & Herman B. Jr.
In 1876, he married a widow Maria Brokamp Hackman & they had Anthony, Frank
& Isabella.  Lucy (Rulman) Weaver, great granddaughter.
