DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, H. C. Franzen Master of the S.S. Cimbria do solemnly, sincerely and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Cimbria at Hamburg Havn from which port said Cimbria has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

   quality of the original document.

*  Although it is believed that the Hamburg Havn on the sworn statement means
   Hamburg Harbour or Port of Hamburg, it is possible that the Havn is
   Havr, meaning Havre, France.  This ship often made a stop at Havre on
   it's voyages.

No births or deaths were recorded during the voyage, so this column was
eliminated.

 8 - Lipmann Simon. Surname is probably given before Christian name here.
 9 - Bergil Graf. Christian name could be Bergik or Bergit.
10 - Isaac Gottold. Occupation might be segarmaker.
18 - Gustav G?sen. Surname could be Gesen or Grsen.
19 - Franz Clebawsky. Place of origin (Brunswig) assumed to be dittoed from
     line above. 
22 - Heinrich Friedrich. Occupation too faint to read, possibly mason.
26 - Philipp Bohrer. Occupation spelled saloonkeper.
33 - Heinrich Muller. Surname has umlaut over the u.
34 - Joseph Muller. Surname has umlaut over the u.
35 - Christian ?aumann. Surname could be Baumann or Raumann. Age could be 42.
39 - Lulie Heinberg. Christian name could be Julie, surname could be Heinberz.
40 - Tod?u?? Kley. Christian name looks like Todaurs or Todeuri.
41 - Carl ??schnowsky. Surname probably Wischnowsky.  
42-53 and 66-70 - are written in a different hand and United States is 
     abbreviated to U.S.
42-53 - Accomodation column not filled in, assumed Betweendecks.
43 - Elise Schneider. Designation 'wife' put in sex column, occupation blank.
46 - Carl Fischer. No occupation given
47 - ????? Haf?red. Christian name might be Uhnen or Alvin, surname Hafored or
     Hafared. No occupation or country of origin given.
48 - Frans Vieler. No occupation or country of origin given. 
49-50 - August & Jacob ?ehy. Surname looks like Hehy
51 - Albert ?cheid. Surname could be Scheid or Ucheid.
52 - Adan ?ilhelm. Surname looks like Nilhelm, could be Wilhelm.
62 - Joachim Ing???rein. Surname illegible, could be Ingrilrein.
65 - Emma Fr??vine. Surname could be Frovine.
66 - ? ?ay???. Initial possibly N. Surname could be Hayner or Cayner.
