Transcriber's Notes:

The use of an * indicates and omission or error made by the original recorder or is used
to call your attention to additional information in the transcriber's notes.

The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to the quality of the
 original document.

This passenger list is a pre-printed form with a heading reading as follows:
"Passenger List of the Great Western Steamship Line S.S. Arragon, Geo. Symons Master."

*The signature of the port collector is illegible and February is abbreviated in the sworn
 statement as "Feby".

*Column number 8 (Died on the voyage) is void of notation and has been deleted from this
 transcription.

1: Columns 2-5 are faded to the point of making them look as if there was never anything
written there. However, as noted above, one can read that this passenger was from Scotland
and intended to stay in the U.S. and occupied a cabin on the voyage.

4: Columns 3, 5 & 6 are faded to the point of making them look blank.

5: Columns 3, 5 & 6 are faded to the point of making them look blank.

6: Columns 5 & 6 are faded to the point of making them look blank.

9: The question marks in this passenger's surname indicate that the original letters have
faded away and cannot be recognized. In addition, columns 3-7 have faded to the point of
    looking blank.

10: This passenger's surname has faded to the point of making the area of the question marks
void of notation. Columns 5 & 6 are also faded away.

11: The original notation in columns 3 & 5 is faced away.

12: This passenger's name may be Richard James but it would be a guess due to the condition
of the document. The rest of the columns on this line are all faded away and look simply
    blank.

The bottom of this passenger list is also noted as follows:
"SS Arragon, Bristol, Feb. 4, 1878"
