Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark indicates material that was indecipherable
An asterisk indicates further information in the Passenger Notes
A caret (^) indicates superscript text.

This list has been renumbered; the original numbered the steerage passengers
separately from the cabin passengers.

The writer of this list indicates occupations for all the passengers; thus, (for
example) passenger #10 is a worker (Arbeiter)!

Translations of some of the German terms:
Arbeiter = worker, laborer
Bächer = baker
Baiern = Bavaria
Bothyer = perhaps Böttcher is meant (cooper, barrel maker)
Conditor = confectioner, pastry baker

Preussen, Preusen = Prussia
Sachsen = Saxony
Schachtler = possibly a box maker
Schlächter = butcher
