Based on the sailing of 1909, families with children are apparently shown together and BHC's (British Home Children) as Unaccompanied Children.
The Tunisian seemed to be the primary carrier of British Home Children making as many as 8 to 10 trips per year.

T., 12+; HYDES, Abr, 12+. Notes of Contributor Patricia Corney Rose Lucy Eleanor BERRY, died, age 25 in 1918 at Port Dalhousie, Ont., Canada during the flu epidemic. She married Frank EBERHARDT in Oct. 1913 leaving one son [still living],Frank Eberhardt died in 1935. On the 1909 Voyage My grandmother, Elsie Eliza Andrina BERRY was born 13 Dec 1894 in Chelsea, London England. She was sent from the Fulham Union in 1909 to Quebec and subsequently to Annie MacPhersons home in Stratford, Ont., Canada. Elsie married 2 Aug 1913 to Edward Albert Corney b 15 Jan 1892 in Brooklyn, N Y. My father, Edward Lawrence Corney was born in St. Catharines, Ont. Canada, 9 Apr 1914. Elsie Died in May 1945 in her 50th year at Newburgh, New York and is buried in the CORNEY plot at Woodlawn Cemetery at New Windsor, New York with Edward Albert CORNEY[1947], Edward Lawrence CORNEY[20 Apr 1999] and Agnes May Fullerton CORNEY [19 Apr 1980].
