LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Umatilla, sailing from Victoria, Aug 16, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Aug 19, 1894.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Married or Single, Occupation, Nationality, Last Residence, Final Destination in the US, Whether having a ticket to final destination, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

3-4 are going to join "son A. Garfinkle 17 Garden St." 
4 These passengers are listed on the same line as E Garfinkle as simply "& family."
6-8 these passengers are listed on the same line as L Abramovich as "wife & 2 child."
