LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. City of Sydney, sailing from Panama Jan 29th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Feb 23, 1895.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Married or Single, Occupation, Nationality, Last Residence, By whom was passage paid?, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether ever before in the US, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were
not included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Final Destination in the US=San Francisco 
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes 
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1     has been to N.Y. 1893.
3     has been to S.F. 1893.  
1-3   are going to join R. Dim 1124 Howard St. San Fran.
4     name could be Dige.  He has been to Oregon 1894.
5     name could be Midsman.  He has been to Oregon 1894.
6     has been to Oregon 1894.
5-6   are crossed out, perhaps because they are not aliens.
7     has been to S.F. 1892.
8-12  are united by brackets around the age and the money entries. They have 
      a single amount of $100 for all.
14    name could be Cosma or Bosma. By Whom Was Passage Paid says "certificate 
      US Consul."  
16    By Whom Was Passage Paid says "certificate US Consul."
14-16 are crossed out, perhaps because they are not aliens.  Ever Before in 
      US says "Native" for all three.
