Ship St Nicolas
I, John Bragdon, Master of the Ship St. Nicolas do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship St. Nicolas at Have from which port said ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, and the occupation of each of said passenger, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belong, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage and the name and ages of these who died.

* Passenger 30,78,81,103,134,136, given name of Marg, then
the 'the' is written half a line above, indicating
an abbreviated name.
Passenger 1 occupation translates to wood worker or
carpenter, place of origin may be Sardegna,
Italy
Passenger 6 Last name could be Rappold. Occupation difficult
to translate, may mean to Cut. Place of origin
may be as written, meaning the Gr. Duches of Bade
or may indicate Baden.
Passenger 7 occupation Fermier translates to farmer.
Passenger 22 Occupation Instituteur translates as an
instructor or teacher.
Passenger 24 occupation Brasseur translates to brewer.
Passenger 25 acute accent over middle e in given name.
Passenger 26 surname may start with a F. occupation Boulanger
translates to baker.
Passenger 27 occupation Cordonnier translates to cobbler or
shoemaker.

Passenger 157 notation after listing that he was a stowed away
and found after four days out. He was added to
the count of passengers so we may assume he was
allowed to stay and not returned to Havre.
Notation after name may indicate place of origin
or occupation, looks like Ausef. No other
comments made.
