LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. San Juan, sailing from Panama, Aug 29th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Sept 18th 1894.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Able to Read & Write, Occupation, Nationality, Last Residence, Final Destination in the US, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:

 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes 
 Whether ever before in the US=blank 
 Whether going to join Relative or Friend=blank
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.
