LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. San Jose, sailing from Panama June 19th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, July 13, 1895.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, Able to Read & Write, Nationality, Last Residence, Final Destination in the US, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether ever before in the US, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:

 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco   
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes
 By whom was passage paid?=self  
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1 Last Residence is 1722 Stockton St San Francisco.  He is going to join cousin 
  1722 Stockton St cor Greewnich.
2 is going to join Brother & Aunt cor 12th & Enysin St.  In view of other 
  phonetic spellings on this list it seems likely this street name is misspelled.
  There is an Anson Place in San Francisco.
3 has been to Texas and about California 15 years.  He is going to join "Eny 
  relatives."
4 has 52 pesos Guatemala.  He has been to "Remeyning 3 yrs."  Perhaps this means
  he remained for 3 years.
5 has been to SF 1892.
6 has been to SF 1892. "died July 7th of intermittent fever" is written at the 
  end of this line.
7 has been to SF 1892.
