I believe my great grandfather William Hale traveled on the Ship Russia
to New York in 1833 at the age of 24. He came from County Armagh in
Ulster, Ireland. He married an American woman. Elizabeth Hunt, who
bore my paternal grandmother Mary Hale. Mary Hale married my grandfather
Winfield Scott Austin. They had seven children including my father,
William Scott Austin born in 1884. WILLIAM AUSTIN
