Transcriber's Notes:
There are two separate manifests for this ship. The pages are in different
formats but they describe the same passengers. The headings for both pages
appear at the top of this page. The list on the second page is presented here
because it includes more information about the passengers. However, information
from the first page is added in the footnotes when it is not identical to the
second page. The order of the passengers is different on the two pages. (see
below)
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to the second
manifest page.
There is a captain's statement on the first page so it is included above. The
dates for the sworn statement were not filled in.
There is a cover sheet for the first page that gives Dec 3 as the arrival date.
The first page itself and the second page as well as the index for the film give
Dec 4 as the arrival date.
The first page says the ship sailed from "Hong Kong and Way Ports." The second
page says she sailed from Yokohama. The arrangement of the names on the first
page and the last residence makes it likely that passengers 5 & 6 embarked at
Hong Kong and the others at Yokohama.
"Or Single" is crossed out in the title of the Married or Single column.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not
included in the table:
