DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN - PORT OF BOSTON
I, John Kyffin, Master of the Bark Mary E Chapman do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Port of Boston, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Barbados from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or spaces occupied, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the "Passenger Act of 1882"; also a true statement, so far as can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God. (signed) John Kyffin, Master.
Sworn to this 7th Aug. 1890, before me (signed) J L Swift, Collector.
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Bark Mary E. Chapman whereof John Kyffin is Master, from Barbados burthen 696 tons.
Columns represent: given name, surname, age, sex, calling, the country of which they are citizens, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or space occupied and whether visitor only, or intending to be permanent settlers.

Transcriber's Notes:     
1 Surname could possibly be Dakim.
  Under visitor or settler, the writing is not readable, but appears to begin
  with a T, has an i dotted in the middle, and ends with an l or t. Might 
  possibly be "Transient."  
Notes written at bottom of list:  Male - Cabin - Alien;  
  Aliens, previously in the U.S.  1 = 50 cents.
