Ship Magdalene
I, H. Henke, Master of the Bremen Ship Magdalene, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New Orleans, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said ship at Bremen from which port said ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. Personal Notes
Several families and individuals from the Kingdom of Hanover settled in the
Cole Camp area of Benton County, Missouri and adjoining parts of Morgan
and Pettis Counties (see German Immigrants):
#280 - Henry Prigge, married Anna Stelljes in Morgan County 1861.
#281 - Henry Renken, born Langenhausen, Hanover. Married Meta Boeschen 1871,
died in Benton County 1910.
#282 - Martin Gerken from Neu St. Jürgen In Morgan County 1860, to Miami
County, Kansas about 1861, died there 1923.
#400-#401 - Claus Schroeder and son Claus Jr. Claus Sr died in Benton County
1877. Claus Jr married Catherine Goetz 1865.
#402-#405 - Claus Duden family. Claus died in Benton County 1884, Margaret
(Borchers) Duden in 1906. Fate of daughter Anna #404 and grandmother
Anna #405 is unknown.
#419 - Frederick Grabau from Westertimke, Hanover. In Cord Holtzen household
Benton County 1860, married Catharina Maria Viebrock 1866, died 1914.
#420-#421 - Cord Meyer and wife, listed in Holtzen and Oelrichs households
Benton County 1860. Cord was killed June 1861 in the Battle of Cole
Camp, and widow Margaret married Claus Oelrichs 1865.

I found her father, Henrich Wilhem Thomas, b. 1794 - emigrated in 1857
to N.America.
he died in Plum Hill (Venedy) Washington Count - Illinois, 6 sept 1870.
He called himself Thoms then.
Her brother, Christoph Thoms, b 1837, married there to Wilhelmine
Oeltjer. they have children.
